Clay Shooting Area & Competition

At Galloway Country Fair, there are opportunities for all abilities to take part whether you have years of experience or are a complete novice. You can have a go at shooting for the first time, or for those with more experience, enter the competition which has some truly fantastic prizes this year.

The 2019 layout is designed and set up by Auldgirth Shooting, a family run business based here in D&G. First prize across the weekend will win a KOFFS 12 bore Shotgun, thanks to the kind sponsorship of Game & Country, top suppliers of game equipment and accessories throughout the UK and beyond.

There is also total of £1,000 worth of prize money to be won over the two days. This is thanks to the generous sponsorship of ROXTONS Field Sports who are the leading providers of the finest shooting and fishing experiences around the world. Prizes are as follows over both days:

High gun: £100
aa&a class: 1st prize £60, 2nd prize £40, 3rd prize £20
b&c class: 1st prize £60, 2nd prize £40, 3rd prize £20
unclassified: 1st prize £60, 2nd prize £40, 3rd prize £20
Ladies: 1st prize £40
Junior (under 18): 1st prize £40

The winner of each class over both days will go into a draw on the Sunday to win the gun.
