Gundogs with Lee Hartis David Lisett &

We are delighted that the Buccleuch Gundogs are returning to the main ring this year to be put through their paces by Lee Hartis and assisted by the Duke of Buccleuch’s gundog trainer David Lisett.

Lee has been training and running retrievers successfully in trials for many years and currently has two Field Trial Champions in his kennel (FTCH Lowforge Aragon of Leacaz and FTCH Troddenmills Beck and Call Of Leacaz), a FT Winner and several upcoming youngsters. His dogs have proudly represented their country as part of the England Retriever Team every year since 2011 and Lee has qualified his dogs for the IGL Retriever Championships six times (so far).

David joined as Gundog Manager in January 2004 and entered his first field trial in 1998. He has gone from strength to strength having a combination of successes throughout his career, including multiple wins in both the Irish and British Spaniel Championships, as well as making up Field Trial Champions in Buccleuch Labradors and Cocker Spaniels and most recently winning the 2017 IGL Retriever Championship.

At the Fair, Lee will take you through the teaching process from puppy to adult dog so you can pick up a few tips and get the best out of your dog. David will also be on hand to assist and the pair will be available to speak to in the Chapel Farm marquee throughout the weekend.
